Review: Noisycrane - Dead Metaphors and Bedroom Floors

NoisycraneWhile listening to this new EP by Noisycrane I was having a hard time trying to label the type of music on it. It all sounds very folky, features trumpets, accordions and violins but also distorted guitar and they rock pretty hard. On this new EP Noisycrane have taken to a rougher sound. The EP opens with 'Summer Came Along' which features trumpets that sound like distorted guitars. 'A Girl With Flowers in Hear Chest' sounds like a Neutral Milk Hotel song. It is a group of songs that shows how much the band has matured since the earlier material, it is their best material to date. Visit Noisycrane on their myspace or on their official site.
