Einar Örn Benediktsson And Mark E. Smith Collaborate On A New Gorillaz Track

Einar Örn Benediktsson former member of the Suggarcubes has revealed that he was in London last week recording a new Gorillaz track with Damon Albarn. The song also features Mark E. Smith from The Fall. He also reveals some new collaborators and some details about the new album, reports Icelandic Review Benediktsson told Icelandic newspaper Morgunbladid about the track: "I’m in a song with Mark E. Smith, he is the captain and I’m the parrot". During that interview he also reveals that the new album will be more accessible and more entertaining that their two other albums, a new Gorillaz website will launch in February with the new album being released a little bit later and appearing on the new album are previously reported Bobby Womack, Lou Reed with the new addition of Barry Gibb who will be contributing vocals. Einar Örn Benediktsson was previously featured on the Gorillaz b-side 'Stop the Dams' on the El Manana / Kids With Gun single. The Gorillaz collaborator list has grown a lot, but remember the band does release any left over material from the sessions as b-sides so far collaborators rumoured are:
De La Soul, Kano, Mos Def, The Horrors, Lou Reed, Waed Bouhassoun, Bobby Womack, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Omar Souleyman, and possibly Amy Winehouse.
