The Rural Alberta Advantage have recorded a new song for MPR's The Current. The band have had a big year blowing up almost out of nowhere, they come from Toronto, ON. They explain during the session how success has come quickly and how it all got started. The new track 'North Star' comes out of the frustration of having to tour the songs that have been on their debut "Hometowns". 'North Star' focuses mainly on the piano and Nils Edenloff singing about missing a lost lover who will be guided back by the North Star. You can listen to the entire session where they also played 'Edmonton', and 'Drain The Blood' here. You can download the new track below.

Hi JP. Been surfing through blog posts on RAA since putting mine up several days ago at allistelling.blogspot.com. I like your taste here. Keep up the good work.
Anyone interested in RAA should see them live. They're still very raw and muscular in a way that gets lost after a couple of years of production. Daytrotter has some unreleased RAA tracks for download.
