Lightspeed Champion Announces Second Album Details

Devonte Hynes' solo project Lightspeed Champion has announced the details for the project's second album. The album is optimistically titled "Life Is Sweet! Nice To Meet You". It will be out early next year on Domino. The album is said to be "an epic collection of twelve pop songs, two instrumental intermissions and one piano étude" also featuring more eclectic influence like "joltingly ‘70s guitar and synth sounds, classical piano, Greek choruses shouting reprisals, and at least one ukelele-driven moment". The album was produced by Ben Allen and the first single will be released before the album, it is titled 'Marlene'. "Life Is Sweet! Nice To Meet You" will be released on February 1 next year.
