New Video: Department of Eagles - Teenagers (Fan Video)

Department of EaglesA fan of Department of Eagles with the username Callacam98 on YouTube made a video for their track 'Teenagers'. The imagery goes well with the teenagers line in the song. The vieo is fun to watch and reminds me of when I was really young. With not much going on with the band and my recent obsession with their second album "In Ear Park" and their unreleased tracks, it helps remind you how great Department of Eagles are. You can watch the video below and download some unreleased Department of Eagles tunes. (Photo credit: Melissa Stetten) Thanks to Grizzly Bear Galore for originally posting the video.

New Riceboy Sleeps - Boy 1904

Jónsi & Alex, Riceboy SleepsLead singer of Sigur Rós, Jónsi Birgisson is going to be releasing a collaboration between himself and his boyfriend Alex Somer. The album will be released on July 20, and will be titled "Riceboy Sleeps". They will be releasing the project under the name of Jónsi & Alex. The duo previously donated a track to the charity compilation "Dark Was the Night" named 'Happiness'. The slow burning, ambient track seems to be what you can expect from probably the greenest album released this year. You can download the track for an e-mail address here or you can download the track below.

New Grizzly Bear vs. Lil' Wayne - Various Mash-ups

Grizzly Bear and Lil' WayneHow does somebody get the idea to combine Lil' Wayne's vocals with beats made from Grizzly Bear tracks off their new album "Veckatimest"? Well, New York producers The Soundmen had the idea and used some of the standout tracks from the album to show how the amalgamation of different genres works. They call it "Veckaflyest", an EP of beats made by sampling Grizzly Bear tracks and it was done by The Soundmen, the first track uses 'Fine For Now' minus the great solo, the second uses 'Cheerleader' and the standout features 'Two Weeks' with Lil' Wayne's new rock single 'Prom Queen'. 'Two Weeks' has a history of being mashed with hip-hop tracks. Its a vast improvement on the Lil' Wayne track. You can download the entire EP, here or the three tracks below.
